Pat's Story
Pat’s love for gardening was cultivated at a young age, working alongside his grandfather in the garden. His passion deepened as he gained experience helping a local plant enthusiast with his rare plant collection. As he grew older, Pat took his interest to the next level by working at a large-scale production nursery.
Driven to advance his knowledge, Pat attended Penn State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Plant Science with a concentration in nursery production. Armed with both education and hands-on experience, he launched Pat's Perfect Produce, growing a wide variety of vegetables, herbs, flowers, pumpkins, and fruits. His fresh, high-quality produce quickly found a following among local restaurants, farm stands, stores, farmer's markets, and through his own roadside stands.
As the business flourished, Pat saw the need to expand. Together with his parents, Dave and Judi, he purchased the Kiski Garden Center, transforming it into a thriving hub not only for produce but also for plants, gardening supplies, and animal feed. Dave and Judi can often be seen helping around the store, supporting the daily operations and fostering a warm, family atmosphere. What started as a simple passion has blossomed into a full-scale garden and produce center, cherished by the community.
